Pauline Armelle Grant passed away on Oct. 14, 2010, at the age of 77, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Westbrook on Dec. 21, 1932, one of four children to Amedee and Germaine Bertin.
She married Allin H. Grant 56 years ago on June 19, 1954, and they had fourteen children together.
Pauline co-chaired the St. Hyacinth Church Fair for many years, volunteered at the Sacarappa School library, and served as chair to the Saccarappa PTA and Westbrook High School Band and Football Boosters.
Pauline was an honorary member of Society of St. Anne's. In addition to her 14 children, she cared for many of the neighborhood children. Allin and Pauline are also sponsors of two Guatemalan children.
Predeceased by her parents; granddaughter, Amanda Grant; and daughter-in-law, Margaret Grant.
