Allin H. Grant passed away September 12, 2016 at the age of 83. He was born in Westbrook on September 4, 1933, one of four children to Frances H. and Eva J. Grant

He married Pauline A. Bertin 62 years ago on June 19, 1954 and had fourteen beautiful children together.

Allin was a member of the Westbrook Knights of Columbus. Allin and Pauline sponsored two Guatemalan children for several years.

Allin served in the U.S. Air Force stationed in San Marcos, Texas from 1951-1955 as a Helicopter Mechanic. Upon returning to Maine he held several jobs before going to work for SD Warren Paper Co. in the Power Distribution department. His tenure with SD Warren lasted until retirement in 1992.

After retirement Allin enjoyed lawn mowing and snow removal for several people in the surrounding neighborhood of his Prospect Street home. Allin and Pauline were very active in St. Hyacinth's Church Fairs as well as Westbrook Sports and Music Boosters. He enjoyed carpentry and anything mechanical – especially working on his tractor. Another favorite pastime was going to all the activities his grandchildren were involved in. Allin also enjoyed traveling.

He is predeceased by his wife Pauline, parents, granddaughter Amanda Grant, daughter-in-law Margaret Grant, and sister-in-law Louise Grant.

He will forever be in our hearts and we will miss his cheerful disposition, mischievous ways, laughter and infectious smile.
