Mrs. Dawkins was born in Wea Township and reared in the Battle Ground community. She has resided in West Lafayette for 30 years.
In 1925 she was married here to Robert H. Dawkins who died in 1969. She and her husband were former owners of the Lincoln cafe. Prior to her retirement in April, Mrs. Dawkins was employed by National Homes Acceptance for 17 years.
She was a member of the American Business Women's Association, local chapter Battle Ground Order of Eastern Star, Moose Lodge Auxiliary and she attended St. Andrew's United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. James R. Townsley Jr. of Lebanon and one sister Mrs. Stanley Jones of Stockwell.
