Survivors include her son Robert Dawkins Townsley and daughter Robin Townsley-Dulong; grandchildren Jason Townsley and Jenna Hacker; 3 great-grandchildren.
1944 graduate of West Lafayette High School.
Graduated from DeForest DeVrie Electronics School in Chicago and Business College in Indianapolis where she learned IBM KeyPunch.
Retired from Commercial Filters in 1992.
Betty was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Lafayette and Dayton, OH, Trinity Lutheran Church and Women of the Elks in Lebanon.
She enjoyed dancing, the history of old homes, played golf and bridge and was active with several card clubs, loved music, car racing and attending the General Hospital Reunion of WWII Vets.
Service noon Monday, Sept. 19 in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, Lebanon. Visitation 10am until time of service.
Memorial donations to the Humane Society of Boone County, Lebanon or to the charity of the donor's choice.
