Anton Becwar
Anton Becwar was born in Czech. Nezamislice, Krajl, Besek, June 16,1861.

In 1869 he, with his parents and one sister came to America, and located in Fillmore county, where his father took a homestead south of what is now Exeter.

November 27,1883 Mr. Bevcwar was married to Marie Bures. To this union eleven children were born, six of whom have preceded him in death. His wife passed away October 9, 1933.

He leaves to mourn his departure five daughters, Mrs Christina Vavra of Geneva, Mrs. Katherine Kuska and Mrs. Antonia Stofer of Fairmont, Mrs. Josephine Menke of Exeter, and Mrs. Mamie Miner of Friend, one brother Mike of Tobias, three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Janousek of Kanona, Kas., Mrs. Josephine Krizek of Oberlin, Kas., and Mrs. Mary Tesar of Sunol Neb. eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. A sister, Mrs. Barbara Pracheil, also preceded him in death.

Mr. Becwar passed away at his home southwest of Exeter Sunday afternoon, January 31, at 12:26 p.m. after a short illness, at the age of 75 years 7 months, and 15 days. After the death of his wife, he made his home visiting his daughters for some months until his daughter Mrs. Antonia Stofer, and her family moved onto his farm, where he was best satisfied and received the best of care.

Since the passing away of his wife whom he missed, he often expressed his desire to be called also. He was a loving father, a good neighbor and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The funeral services were held at his home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. K .O. Zavadil of Wilber officiating.
