OBITUARY: THE MUSCATINE JOURNAL, NOV 23, 1955 - FUNERAL RITES ARE PENDING FOR MRS. GAUTHIER - Services are pending at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals for Mrs. Minnie Gauthier, 84, whose death occurred this morning at her home, 405 1/2 Cedar street. Mrs. Gauthier was born May 10, 1871 in Dubuque, the daughter of Charles and Katherine Meyer Lucas. Her marriage to John Gauthier took place April 27, 1897, in Wisconsin, and his death occurred in 1931. She had been a resident of Muscatine since 1906, with the exception of five years spent in California. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Covell of Wilton, Mrs. Esther Miller of Miles City, Mont., and Miss Lauretta Gauthier of Minneapolis, Minn.; one brother, Henry Lucas of Dubuque; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three sons, three brothers and one sister.
