Carl Hahn served in the U.S. Navy, as a Baker First Class and as a Boilermaker. Afterwards, he was employed by the Old Merchants Heat and Light Company and was a boilermaker on the Belt Railroad. He never married.
He was buried in St. Joseph Cemetery on Feb.7, 1930, at the age of 43.

Carl A. (Charles) Hahn, 42 years old, 1805 West Morris street, died of heart disease yesterday in the Robert W. Long hospital. He had been ill two years.
Mr. Hahn, a lifelong resident of the city, had served in the navy and in recent years had been employed by the old Merchants Heat and Light Company and the Belt railroad as a boilermaker. Survivors are the mother, Mrs. Christiana Hahn, and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Fort. Mrs. Rosa Green and Miss Christine Hahn, all of Indianapolis, and two brothers, John Hahn of Seattle, Wash., and Leo C. Hahn of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Green, 1821 Jones street, at 8:30 o'clock tomorrow morning and at Assumption Catholic Church at 9 o'clock-. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
