The Weston Democrat, Fri. 27 Oct. 1911:
"HENDERSON, MISS ELIZABETH - Burnsville: Mrs. Elizabeth Henderson of near town, died suddenly Friday last week at the home of a son-in-law, Mr. J. H. Ritter, at the ripe old age of 80 years. Burial in the Burnsville cemetery,."

Not: The obituary gives a death of "Friday last week" which would be October 21. West Virginia deaths gives the date as October 6, age 79 years, 11 months.

Elizabeth Ann Wingfield was the daughter of Robert Clark Wingfield and Eliza S Elsom. Elizabeth and William Warder Henderson were married September 23, 1852 in Lovingston, Nelson County, Virginia. They were the parents of twelve children:
An unnamed son born in 1853 who only lived a few days, Eliza Lucinda, Robert Alexander, Mary Frances "Mollie", John Hiter, Amanda J, Margaret Susan, Mildred Mae, William Henry, Martha Emmaline, Edward Morgan and Lillie Josephine.
The family moved from Nelson County Virginia to Augusta County Virginia and then to Braxton County, Virginia where they settled on Dumpling Run Ridge near Burnsville.
William was a farmer.
