Denton A. Aebischer, 63, of R. 4, Chilton, a prominent Town of Charlestown dairy farmer, was dead on arrival Monday afternoon at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton. Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack.
He was born in the town of Charlestown on June 6, 1911 a son of the late Charles and Jennie Heller Aebischer.
He graduated from Chilton High School in 1928 and the University of Wisconsin farm short courses. On Nov. 26, 1942 he married Ruby Koehler at Ebenezer United church of Christ, Chilton.
He was a member of the town of Charlestown School Board, the Chilton School Board, the Wisconsin and National Milking Shorthorn Society, of which he was a director and officer for many years.
He was treasurer of the Calumet County Historical Society, on the board of directors of Calumet Memorial Hospital, and member of the Calumet County Fair Association, a Master Farmers Association fieldman and a member of the Midwest Livestock Producers Association, Francis Creek.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Denton Jr., R. 4, Chilton and David at home; five daughters, Miss Dyane, De Pere, Mrs. Ian (Doris) Way, Sheboygan, Mrs. Math (Debbie) Schumacher, Hilbert, Mrs. Richard (Doreen) Daun, Fond du Lac, and Miss Dee at home; three grandchildren and two brothers, Gordon, R. 4, Chilton, and Dale, St. Petersburg, Florida.
Funeral services will be at Ebenezer UCC, Chilton, the Rev. Quentin Moeschberger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Chilton Hillside Cemetery.
