McCOOK, Nebraska -- Frank Goad (Pop Pop) left his home peacefully on Monday afternoon, May 13, 2013, to join his loved ones and Savior on Heaven's shore while resting at home.

Frank was born in Townsend, Delaware on Aug. 13, 1934, to the late Edgar and Essie (Spence) Goad.

He grew up on the family farm in Dugspur, Virginia attending rural schools and graduated in 1952 from Hillsville High School, Hillsville, Virginia.

Upon graduation, he worked for the RJ Reynolds Company in Winston Salem, North Carolina. In 1954, he began employment with Electric Hose and Rubber Company in Wilmington, Delaware. In 1977, he transferred to the McCook plant where he retired more than 45 years as the traffic and warehouse manager.

On Dec. 8, 1955, he married the love of his life, June Ann Carter at St. Mary Ann's Episcopal Church, North East, Maryland.
To this marriage four daughters and one son were born, to whom he devoted his love and life. They lived their early married years in June's hometown, North East, Maryland, where he served as town road commissioner. Later they moved on to New Castle, Delaware, to be closer to his employment. While a member of the First Baptist Church of New Castle, Frank was a Sunday School Bus Driver for many years. Frank was presently a member of the McCook First Assembly of God Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; Edgar Goad and Essie Spence Goad; brother, Eugene Goad; sister, Rosa Lea Goad Lineback; and great granddaughter, Scarlett Yeager.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, June Ann; children; Sherrie Dack and sons, Carter and Stuart; Kathy Kautz and children, Joshua and Billie Joe and Caitlin and husband, Jacob Fox; Donna Goad; Joanne Goad and children, Samuel, Brandon and wife, Tracia and Jessica Yeager; Frank Goad Jr., son, Cody, and Alexis and their children, Jebidiah and Elijah; along with great-grandchildren; Jadelyn, Kaydon, Kyler, Eden and Beckett;
two brothers, Hugh Goad of Dugspur, Virginia, Buddy Goad and wife, Bobbie of Willis, Virginia,
and foster brother, Roger Robertson and wife, Becky of Alabama.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 16, 2013, 11 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Mockry officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 2013, from 1 -- 8 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given in his memory and left at the funeral home.
