A daughter of James Alexander and Margaret Webster Black, she was born at Steubenville, but for the last 35 years had resided in Washington.
The following brothers and sisters survive: George W. and James A. Black, R.D. 3, Eighty Four; Jesse O. Black, Whitefrost, Montana; C. W. Black, Dormont; Miss Mary Black, at home, and Mrs. Eva Holms, Steubenville.
Funeral services were held at the Black home this afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. Joseph Morledge. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Steubenville.

Miss Emma Black, a former resident of Steubenville died at her home in Washington, Pa., Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
She was the daughter of Alexander and Margaret Webster Black, pioneer residents of Steubenville. One sister, Miss Mary Black of Washington and the following brothers survive: George and James of Washington; Charles of Pittsburgh; Jesse of White Fish, Mont.
A sister Mrs. Eva B. Helms, died in this city in March.
Services were held at her late residence, Monday 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Moreledte, of the Third Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment in Union cemetery, Steubenville.
