Route 10 resident and Warren County native James Jasper Boren, 76, died Thursday at River Park Hospital after a two-year illness.
Owner of Boren's Repair Shop-Mowing Machines and a member of the Bratcher's Crossroads Free Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Clellon and Ocie (Malone) Boren and was preceded in death by one brother, Everett Boren.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Blair Boren of McMinnville; two brothers, Willard and Larry Boren, both of McMinnville; three sisters, Pauline Starkey and Lillie Pegg, both of McMinnville and Hazel Holland of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with James Gonyea officiating. Burial will follow at Centertown Cemetery.
