Son of Henry E. Flynn and the former Rachel Crooks. Born 5 June 1907 in Mt. Sterling Illinois. Belonged to United Methodist church there.

Received his education in the Brown county Illinois school system. Served with the U. S. Army during World War II. Known familiarly as "Peck."

Inez V. Johnson and Henry Flynn married in 1926 in Brown county, Illinois. They ran Flynn's Market more than a half century in Mt. Sterling Illinois.

Henry Flynn passed away 21 May 1992 at a nursing home in Rushville Illinois. His wife, Inez Flynn, predeceased him, 23 December 1988.

In addition: sisters Ada Deters and Edna Long; brothers Charles Flynn, Clarence Flynn, and Guy Flynn, preceded Henry Flynn in death.

Reverend Richard Lewis led services held at a Mt. Sterling Illinois funeral parlor. Interment took place at Mt. Sterling cemetery.
