Charline Victoria White, 85, of Bay City passed away May 6, 2013. She was born on a ranch near Goldthwaite, TX on November 18, 1927 to the late Charlie Anderson and Lillie Belle Anderson.

She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1950 from Breckenridge School of Nursing in Austin. Her nursing career included Matagorda General Hospital and Richmond State School. She retired from Matagorda General Hospital.

She was a member of Nichols Street Church of Christ where she taught Bible class, served as nurse for Camp Bandina, involved in the bus ministry and made stuffed frogs for hospitalized children. She was also a Girl Scout leader and volunteered at public schools and the Bay City Public Library helping children with reading.

Surviving is her husband of 63 years, James E. White, whom she met at a Church of Christ sponsored college youth event in Austin; daughters Virginia W. Jones and Peggy W. Hughes; sisters Wilma Jo Anderson and Lois McLean; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Her son James R. White and sister Ruth Lusk both preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 1:00 PM until service time at the Nichols Street Church of Christ. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 9, 2013 with Glenn Organ officiating. Interment will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2013 at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery in Goldthwaite, TX.
