Lillian M. Wallace Barnhart, 89, of Connellsville, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in the Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown. She was born Aug. 19, 1920, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Samuel (1896-1968) and Lillian Seanor Wallace.
Lillian was a longtime resident of Connellsville. She had formerly worked as a waitress at the Pleasant Valley Country Club and as a bartender at the Connellsville Eagles Club.
Lillian is survived by her loving daughter, Ruth Ann Cossell and husband, Robert Jr., of Connellsville; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Barnhart, of Owensdale; her grandchildren, Heather A. Swartz, of Mt. Pleasant, Dean Allen Barnhart II, of Scottdale, Robert Cossell II and wife, Lori, Shera Barnhart and Randall Brooks, and Scott Raymond Barnhart, all of Connellsville; her great-grandchildren, Robert Cossell VI, Alexis Brooks and Christopher Cossell and wife, Kristina; three great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Lydia Mae Barnhart, of Connellsville, and Peggy Jean Snyder, of Masontown.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Raymond William Barnhart; her sons, Dean Allen Barnhart and Raymond W. "JR" Barnhart Jr.; an infant great-grandchild; her brothers, Samuel and Merle Wallace; and her sisters, Helen Voithoffer and Ruth Wallace.
