"I give and bequeath to my two sons Stephen and James Ashley the Evans lot so called bought of Benjamin Grinnell and his wife and others lying East of the Mill river aforesaid Northerly by lands bought of Joshua Crapo. Westerly on land formerly owned by Benjamin Chace Easterly on land owned by Bullock and Babbitt containing one hundred forty acres more or less, and it is also my will that my three sons Abram, Leonard and Jefferson pay to my son James thirty dollars each in one year after my decease."
