Mrs. Pittman Is Called By Death

Mrs. Doris Childs Pittman, age twenty-eight, well known Seymour young woman, died at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis.  She had been ill for eight months with a complication of diseases.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Voss Mortuary with the Rev. R. S. Wilson, pastor of the Central Christian Charge in charge.  Burial in the Riverview Cemetery.

Mrs. Pittman, who resided on East Tipton street road, was a native of Jennings county where she was born on September 13, 1909, the daughter of Newton and Ethelyn McPherson Childs.  The father survives.  She had been a resident of Jackson county for the past twenty-four years, moving here with her parents when she was four years of age.  She was married on February 14, 1934, at Columbus, to Orene Pittman, who survives.  She enjoyed a wide circle of friends and acquaintances who mourn her death.

Besides her husband and father, she is survived by three brothers, Myron Chlds and Maynard Childs, both of Indianapolis; Roy Childs of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Clark, Miss Iris Childs and Mrs. Faye Ritchey, all of Seymour.
