Josephine Catherine Deiterman
Josephine Catherine Deiterman, nee Henrich, the daughter of Martin and Katherine Konradi Henrich, was born at Akron, Iowa in Plymouth County on April 1, 1896. She passed away at Sioux Valley Hospital in Cherokee, Iowa on January 8, 1973 at the age of 76.

She lived in LeMars, Iowa are and taught school there for 6 years. She was married on April 27, 1920 to John A. Deiterman. They became parents of six children. The couple farmed in the LeMars are until moving to Sutherland in March 1942. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Parrish at Sutherland and its St. Ann's Guild.

Preceding her in death were an infant son, John, and her husband, who died in 1954, as well as two brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Vincent of LeMars and Raymond of Sutherland; daughters, Mrs Joe (Rosalind) Lohberger of Paullina, Mrs Joe (Majorie) Stanek of Sioux City and Mrs. Alben (Sylvia) Nikles of Lee's Summit, Missouri; 20 grandchildren, brothers, John, Martin and Leo, all of Akron, Paul and Edwin of LeMars; sister Mrs Irlene Kallsen of Strubel, Ia., Mrs. Catherine Topf of Sargent Bluff, Ia., Mrs. Mary Friend of San Jose, Cal and Mrs. Dorothy Thorpe of Salix, Ka; many other relatives and friends.
