Mr. Clarence Boone, 78, of Cooter, Mo., died Monday, July 14, 1997 at Kennett, Mo.
Born Saturday, May 17, 1919 in Cullman, Ala., he was a son of the late John and Lois Yeager Boone.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Ray and Kenneth Ray Boone, six brothers, and two sisters.
Mr. Boone was united in marriage to Lola May Johnson Boone in Caruthersville, Mo., on August 7, 1946.
A retired farm worker, he was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter, Mo.
Mr. Boone leaves his wife, Lola Mae Boone, of Cooter, Mo.; four sons: Jerry Wayne Boone and Jimmy Lee Boone, both of Cooter, Mo., Charles Boone of Holland, Mo., and Thomas Lee Boone of Cottonwood Point, Mo.; two daughters: Geneva Raidt of Cooter, Mo., and Jeanette Thomas of Blytheville, Ark.; two brothers: John Boone, Jr., of Draffenville, Ky., and Bill Boone of Steele, Mo.; one sister, Mary Nunn of Zion, Ill.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Boone were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 1997, at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter with Rev. Tim Abanathy officiating, assisted by Rev. Doug Applegate.
Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele, Mo., with Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Thomas, Kelly Thomas, Chris Thomas, Vic Burton, Michael House and Jason House.
