Mrs. Horace Glatfelter, 74, Of Glen Rock Dies
Glen Rock – Mrs. Annie Kerr Glatfelter, 74, wife of Horace F. Glatfelter, died yesterday at 3:30 p.m. at the residence of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Taylor, 87 Park Avenue.
She had been in ill health for one year with complications and bedfast for the past week. Until four months ago, Mr. and Mrs. Glatfelter had resided at Glen Rock RD 2.
She was a member of United Church of Christ congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Church. Surviving, besides her husband, are: Four daughters, Mrs. George P. Smith, Brodbeck RD 1; Mrs. Arthur W. Ambrosius, Brodbeck; Mrs. Walter Taylor and Mrs. Eugene R. Allison, both of here; 13 grandchildren; two step-sons, Melvin A. Glatfelter, Red Lion RD 2, and Raymond W. Glatfelter, Spring Grove RD 1; five step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Kerchner, York RD 8, and Mrs. Julia Rennoll, Glen Rock RD 2.
Her pastor, Rev. George A. Heisey, will officiate assisted by Rev. K. S. Ehrhart, pastor of Jefferson Lutheran charge, at funeral services on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment will be in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery.
