Eve Shinkle, b. Dec. 2, 1804; m. Jan. 3, 1822, Rezin Judd, Sr., farmer; removed, 1826, to Clear Lake twp.,
Sangamon co., Ill., where his brothers Ezekiel and
Corban had settled the year before.

In the winter of the "deep snow," 1830-1831, Eve found a
deer struggling in the snow in her yard and killed
it with a case-knife.

She d. Dec. 26, 1888. Rezin d. July 7, 1872.

Rezin Americus Vespucius Judd was the son of Rezin Judd and Eve Shinkle. He married Sarah C. Bolender, daughter of Stephen Bolender and Lydia Ann Buffner.
