AUBURN - Alma L. Woodcock, 86, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Provena Sacred Heart Home, Avilla.

She was a homemaker and had worked in the Fort Wayne Knitting Mill for several years in the 1930s. She was a babysitter for several area families. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Auburn.

She was born Nov. 24, 1916, in Garrett to Frederick B. and Mable E (Rowe) Stoll.

Alma Stoll and Alfred E. Woodcock were married on April 25, 1936 and divorced on April 25 1979.

Surviving are three sons, Marvin E. Woodcock of Kendallville, Glen Woodcock of Churubusco, and Thomas L. Woodcock of Fort Wayne; five daughters and three sons-in- law, Carolyn and Dale Healy of Auburn, Gloria and Bill Howe of Auburn. Constance Sue and Lynn Carper of Auburn, Linda Kapp of Hudson, Marjorie Hecht of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Walter Stoll of Ossian and LeRoy Stoll of Huntertown; one sister, Irma Knapp of Garrett; 25 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons and two great grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Feller Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, the Rev. Lloyd Bickel officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.

Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Diabetic Association.
