Mrs. Josie L. Moore, 78, of Caruthersville, died July 9 in Hayti. Born July 6, 1908, in Greenup, Ill., she was the daughter of George and Minnie Eveland. She was a retired employee of General Motors' Spark Plug Department, where she worked for 17 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Helen Smith of Caruthersville; Three sisters, Mrs. Mandy French of Maryville, Ind., Mrs. Aretta Coram of Pascola and Mrs. Leona Ferrell of Poplar Bluff; Twelve grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Moore and two daughters, Lucille and Juanita Moore.
Services were Friday at 4 p.m. at John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Hayti, the Rev. Frank "Hap" Payne officiating, with burial in East Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe Brasvell, Oneal Lamar, Henry Holt, Jerry Hatley, Mike Lack and Marshall Swift.
