Mrs. William Marek, member of one of Industry's most prominent families, and widow of a well known resident of the county, died at Industry Dec. 26. She had been ill for the past eight months, and was 82 years of age at the time of her death.

Funeral services were conducted at the CMB church Dec. 28, at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. H.E Beseda Jr. officiating. Zaskoda Funeral home directed the services and interment was at the CMB cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were R.V. Renck, L.J. Rinn, James Zbranek, Otto Marek, Henry Marek Jr., and George Kollatchny. Her grandsons, Jay Dee Rinn and Daniel Lee Marek, were named honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Marek was the former Miss Anna Zanek. She was born in Czechoslovakia August 6 1872, and came to this country in 1885, with her parents, settling at Industry. She spent the last 68 years of her life there. She was a faithful member of the CMB church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Martin Koslovsky, Mrs. Willie Assman and Mrs. Dennis Rinn, all of Industry, five sons, Henry J. Marek of Shelby, Willie J., John S. and Bennie F. Marek of Industry, and Joe Marek of Warrenton; a sister, Mrs. Adolph Zaskoda of Industry; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
