Mr. Marek was found dead in his bed by members of his family who investigated when he failed to arise at the usual time. He was 81 years, 4 months and 2 days of age.
On December 27, 1892 he was united in marriage with Miss Anna Zanek, who survives. He was a member of the Czech Moravian Brethren church of Industry, and of the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge.
Funeral services were held at Industry at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 28 at Zaskoda Funeral Home with continued services in the C.M.B. church with Rev. H.E. Beseda officiating. Interment was in the C.M.B. cemetery at Industry.
Pallbearers were Henry W. Marek, C.W. Marek, Frank Haisler, B.J. Marek, Eddie Marek and George Dockal.
