Funeral services for Martha VerBurg, 78, of Rock Valley were held Wednesday at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, Rock Valley, with interment in Valley View Cemetery.
She died Monday, May 3, 1993, in Hegg Memorial Hospital, Rock Valley.
Martha Veltkamp was born June 27, 1914, in Dispatch, Kansas.
In 1918 the family moved to Rock Valley.
On December 8, 1938, she married James Ver Burg in Inwood.
They lived in Hudson, South Dakota, Inwood, and Canton, South Dakota, before moving to Rock Valley in 1950.
She worked at Van's Super Foods of Rock Valley for 31 years.
Her husband died October 8, 1971.
Survivors include one son, Marion "Doc" of Rock Valley; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Glenda) Fikkert of Neenah, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren and two sisters, Hattie Dekker of Chicago Heights, Illinois, and Coba Vander Bok of Rock Valley.
