Bertha M. Dippold, 89, 1938 Cassella-Montezuma Road, Maria Stein, died at 11:15 p.m. Feb. 25, 2003, at Celina Manor Nursing Home. She was born July 21, 1913, in St. Henry, to Leo and Theresia Kothman Hemmelgarn. On June 15, 1938, she married Albert Dippold who died Sept. 20, 1987. Surviving are a son, Kenneth (Victoria) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two brothers, Andy Hemmelgarn, St. Henry, and Leroy (Mildred) Hemmelgarn, Celina; three sisters, Clara Grube and Teresa (Albert) Steinbrunner, Fort Recovery, and Wilma (Cy) Everman, Maria Stein; and two grandchildren. One sister, Leona Hartings, is deceased. A homemaker, she formerly owned and operated the Cassella Store. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and the Mothers' Sodality, Cassella, and the Daughters of Isabella, St. Henry. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. John Zvijak officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
