D. HARRY BLACK, aged 79 years, of Nineveh, died Friday, Januay 11, 1980 at 4:50 am in the Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle, following a long illness.

Mr. Black was born March 12, 1900 in Hays Borough, Allegheny County, he was the son of David Harrison and Matilda Sophia Wilds Black.

On June 21, 1922, he married Dorothy Day Dill Black,at the W.F. Orndoff home in Whiteley Twp, Greene Co., PA, who died March 22, 1966.
Mr. Black was retired from the Columbia Natural Gas Co.

With the exception of nine years in Whitely Township, he had lived most of his life in Nineveh, where he was member of the Nineveh Methodist Church.

He was also a member of Waynesburg Lodge 153 F & AM, the Coudersport Consistory and the Quarter Century Club of the Columbia Gas System.

Surviving are one son, David H. Black of Gibsonia; one daughter, Cornelia (Polly) Black of Nineveh; a granddaughter, Mrs. Timothy (Crystal) Breakbill of Denver, Col.; and one sister, Mrs. Matilda Mulvaney of Waynesburg.
Four sisters, Mary Black Carter, Hazel Black, Myrtle Black Cathers, Gladys Black Davidson, and two brothers Samuel A. Black and Webster S. Black are deceased.

Funeral Services: Sunday, January 13, 1980 at 2:00 pm in the Frank J. Behm Funeral Home
