Myrtle B. Cathers, 83, of Nineveh, PA died November 10, 1974 in Washington Hospital.

She was born November 28, 1890 to David Harrison Black and Sophia Matilda Wilds Black. Hays, Allegheny County, PA. Her late husband, M. Glenn Cathers operated a store in Nineveh for many years.

Mrs. Cathers moved to the Nineveh area with her family when she was in her early teens. She had lived most of her life in Nineveh.

Mrs. Cathers was a graduate of Nineveh High School and attended Slippery Rock State College. She was a member of the Nineveh Presbyterian Church which is not the Nineveh Methodist Church; order of the Eastern Star Emerald Chapter 135; Lady Greene Rebekah Lodge 385; and James Farrell American Legion Post 330 auxiliary.

Surviving are one daughter, Dorothy Slaght, San Diego, CA; two sons Glenn Cathers, Washington, and Harry "Bobby" E. Cathers, Nineveh. PA; one brother Harry Black of Nineveh, and one sister, Matilda Black Mulvaney. Deceased are one son Jack Cathers, two brothers, Webster S. and Samuel A. Black and three sisters, Hazel Black, Mary Black Carter, and Gladys Black Davidson.--Observer-Reporter.
