ANDERSON--Paul E. Boner, 40, Rt. 2, Alexandria, died Wednesday morning in a one-car traffic accident near Pendleton.
Born in Muncie, he had lived in Madison County all his life. He attended Madison Heights High School.
He was a territory manager for Flowers Industry of South Carolina, and supervisor at the Blueberry Bakery in Indianapolis. He also was a former truck driver for McMahan & Leib Company for 19 years.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served 13 months in Vietnam, where he received the purple heart. He also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 266, Madison County Shrine Club, and Fellowship Lodge 681 F&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Penny M. Steffler Boner; his mother, Catherine Boner of Anderson; a daughter, Kimberlie Ann Boner of Anderson; a son, Paul E. Boner Jr. of Anderson; a brother, Kenneth L. Boner of Middletown; and two sisters, Joanne Nabbitt of Alexandria and Barbara House of Anderson.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson, with the Lanis Kineman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, north of Daleville, where military graveside rites will be observed by the VFW. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
