Mr. Kelley was found dead July 26, 1988 at his home in Macon by the police and fire departments. His death was ruled from natural causes.
Mr. Kelley was born July 19, 1946, in Hannibal, MO to Charles H. and Mary T. Keim Kelley.
Survivors include his father of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, two brothers, Charles E. Kelley of Roswell, NM and Lawrence W. Kelley of Hannibal, and one sister, Mary Ann Allensworth of New Canton, IL.
Mr. Kelley attended West Pike (IL) schools, graduating as salutatorian in 1964. He attended Gem City Business College in Quincy and an oilfield school in Roswell, NM. He had worked as a farmer in the Hull area and had once been employed by the Missouri Correctional System.
Mr. Kelley had a realtor’s license in Illinois and Missouri. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 910 of Hull and a past member of the Ansar Shriner Club in Quincy.
Memorials may be made to the Adams County Heart Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Mr. Kelley is buried at the foot of his mother's grave.
