Floyd Allen Pruet was married to Carol Jean Pruet for 46 years. He was a loving, caring husband and father, known for his amazing sense of humor. He was said to be a kind hearted and loving person by everybody who was blessed to meet him. He retired in 1992 as a highly decorated Master Chief Machinist Mate after serving 30 years in the United States Navy. He has received numerous awards and metals for his outstanding conduct (6 medals) and service for our country, including: the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 star, the Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 stars for serving in Operation Desert Storm aboard the USS Missouri, The Kuwait Liberation Medal, 2 National Defense Medals and a combat action ribbon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother, Joe Pruet.
