Robert Herman Dale Dies Following Heart Attack; Rites To Be Held Sunday --
Robert Herman Dale, 58, died early this morning at the Lincoln County Hospital following a heart attack which he suffered Sunday morning at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Ralston Chapel. The Rev. C. B. Smith, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dale was born in Lincoln County and was the son of the late Calvin and Elizabeth McFerrin Dale. He was in business in Ashland, Ohio, for many years. He returned to Lincoln County in 1946 and became engaged in farming. He was associated with Fuller's Supermarket until recently.
He was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Fayetteville Rotary Club, and a member of the board of stewards of the First Methodist Church of Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife, the former Thelma Smith, of Fayetteville; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Baxter of Seymour, Indiana; four sisters, Mrs. Nole McCown, Mrs. John Gracy, Mrs. John Buchanan, and Mrs. T. T. McFerrin, all of Lincoln County; one brother, Oscar Dale, of Atlanta, Georgia; and two grandchildren.
