Mary E Ellis was the 5th of 9 children (her Father John Newton Ellis died after her birth) Her mother Margaret Alvira Latham remarried Richard Miles and had another 4 (Miles)children. Mary Later in life worked in health helping with the infirmed. Moved to Whittier California in abt 1920's. William stayed at the ranch until it was sold in 1936. She was very strong in her faith, she memorized large parts of the Bible. She lived to age 84.

She was a great craft person, she made Quilts, Crochets items, and beaded purses. She crocheted, me two dresses I lost the real small Blue one But I have framed the Hot Pink one she made.

Married William McDonald: March 12 1891 in Logan, Harrison, Iowa. Note Mary sister Lois E Miles married William McDonald's Brother Archie McDonald 1896 in Colorado.

Mary lived on the Iron Mountain Cattle Ranch Laramie, Wyoming 1891 her original home there was a Log Cabin, they later built a Larger House and sadly it burned down in abt 1913 and they built and New one and it is still standing and occupied today 2017. In about 1922 Mary and several children of them moved to Whittier California. They then went back and forth as they were needed on the Ranch.

Note: While making burial arrangements for Mary's Youngest Son Ned Curtis McDonald, they had the record for Mary and it said her correct Middle name was Emiline, Not Emeline.
