Daughter of Oliver Milton Dampier & Amelia Pope Godbold.

Married: circa 1919 to Warren David Van Dusen. No children. Marriage ended in divorce.

Married: between 1920-1930 to George William Hansen. No children

Aunt Edna, as she was known in the family, was a bit of a flamboyant personality who shared the family characteristic of being very certain about certain certainties, inevitably at the center of discussions at family get togethers. She was a very imposing character and a chain smoker.

Her niece Lucille Elaine Dampier was almost the same age and as children playing together Edna would often insist that Lucille call her "Aunt Edna".

After the death of her husband, George Hansen, she worked as a live-in care giver to elderly people.

Edna had a keen interest in family history and kept a large collection of documents, photographs, letters and newspaper clippings about the family. Thankfully these have been passed on.

Her death was very tragic. Under treatment at the Hoover Pavilion of Stanford Medical Center for emphysema and other disorders, she set the bed on fire while smoking in bed - a fire that brought eight trucks from the Palo Alto Fire Department.
