A story told by one of her husband's parishioner's, as told to Tsasuyeda:
[Carlene told this] "My mom told us all a funny story about your grand mother that is so sweet and dear to me, I repeat it often. Mr. Marvin worked hard [in mines] then preached after work, He came home one night and Mrs. Agnes said, "hurry get ready for church" and he said to her, "every time I get home you are ready to go." Mrs Agnes said, "yes and that is just how I want to be when the Lord comes back. ᎠᏆᏛᏅᎢᏍᏔᏅᎯ! let me be prepared! Ready to go."
