SHRUM, BESSIE, MARIE, 82, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008. She was of the Methodist faith. She was born on July 26, 1925 to Alex and Bertha Meeks Sanders who preceded her in death along with her husband, John Lawrence Shrum; brothers, Jessie, Arthur, Dillard and Harvey Sanders; sisters, Delia Meeks, Fronie Frederick, Berta Parsons and Agnes Meeks. She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Cowan, Tracy City; Linda Marie White, Hermitage, TN; sons, Chester Lee Shrum, Springfield, TN; Earl Benson Shrum, Westmoreland, TN; and Bobby Eugene Shrum, Tracy City; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services were held Friday, July 18 at the Coalmont Cemetery with Chester Shrum officiating.
