Rexford Paul Castleman, 85 of Oak Road, Argos, Indiana died April 29, 2014 at his granddaughters residence in Clarksville, Tennessee. He had been in declining health for several months.

Rex was born on August 21, 1928 in Argos, Indiana to Earnest & Mary (Feikert) Castleman and had lived in the Argos community all of his life.
On August 28, 1949 at Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, Culver, Indiana he married Elizabeth "Betty" Ann (Cowen) Castleman and together they shared 62 years. She preceded him on Feb. 19, 2012.

Rex was a Farmer and Carpenter. He was a graduate of Argos High School class of 1946. He served his country in the United States Army from December 4, 1951 to November 21, 1953 when he received his Honorable Discharge. He was a member of the Argos American Legion Post #68, Argos, Indiana.
He was a member of the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church and attended the Argos United Methodist Church; Betty and Rex members of the weekly Bunco & Domino Club.

Rex is survived by his Sons – John D. Castleman of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Andrew J Castleman and wife Stephanie of Carmel, Indiana
Grandchildren – Danielle Lynn Morton of Clarksville, Tennessee; Tamara Jo Hall of Fishers, Indiana; and Cassandra Nicole Hull of Auburn, Indiana
5 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great Great-Grandchild
Brother – Larry Castleman of Portland, Oregon
Sisters – Rebecca Warren of Quincy, Illinois; and Barbara Andrews of South Bend, Indiana
He is preceded in Death by his Parents, Wife, Son-Brent Paul Castleman; Daughter-JoEllen Castleman; and sister Rosemary Swihart

Friends may visit with the family on Friday May 2, 2014 from 5 pm – 8 pm at the Argos United Methodist Church, 570 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana; and Saturday May 23 from 11 am – 12 noon at the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, West State Road 10, Culver, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 noon Saturday May 3, 2014 at the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Henry V. Sprunger & Dewey L. Miller Jr.
Burial will follow at the Maxinkuckee I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Poplar Grove, Culver, Indiana with the United States Army Burial unit and the Argos American Legion Post#68 preforming military honors.
