Mrs. Laura Belle Watson, who was born February 21, 1875 in Adair County, died Monday the 22nd of April at Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville. She had been at the nursing home since 1962. The daughter of Green and Susan Allison Pendleton, she was married to Thomas J. Watson who died in 1964. Surviving are the following children: Alvan and Howard Watson both of Campbellsville and Lester of Evansville, Ind., and Mrs. Bertha Burress and Mrs. Nell Cox, both of Taylor County. Funeral services were held Wednesday the 24th in the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Bohrer, minister, officiating. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rodney Cox, Eddie Franklin, Willard Burress, Russell Cox, Dickey Watson and Clyde Noel. Besides her children, she leaves 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Nora Barnes of Campbellsville and Mrs. Myrtle Roberts of Louisville.
