Albert Sylvester Stevens was born on Apr 19, 1860 at Cottonville, IA, in Jackson Co. Albert is the son of Artimus C and Amartha Ann (Allen) Stevens. On Mar 11, 1882 he married Judith Marie Farrington, who was born at Cottonville, IA. She is the daughter of Joseph and Mary Farrington. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stevens lived near Dubuque, IA until 1884 when they came to South Dakota and homesteaded in Miner Co.

Albert died Aug 8, 1913 and Judith died Jun 14, 1941. They are buried in the Graceland Cemetery, Howard, Miner Co., SD.
