Judith Mary Young, 81, of Silver Lake, Kansas died February 10, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Broken Bow, Nebraska on February 5, 1932 the daughter of Kenneth and Marjorie (Bloomquist) Shamburg.
Judy was a homemaker and mother, and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Mater Dei Assumption Church and a former volunteer for Birthright.
She married Perry David Young on August 29, 1948 in Blair Nebraska. He predeceased her.
Survivors include her children, Patricia A. (Bill) Fay of Virginia Beach, VA, Barbara E. (Tom) McLaughlin of Littleton, CO, David K. (Paula) Young of Silver Lake, and Robert J. Young, Kristina M. (Randy) Hewitt, and Mark V. Young all of Topeka.
She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and one brother, Pat (Lyla) Shamburg of Lincoln, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, one son, Donald Young and a great grandson, Isaiah.
Private services will be held. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
