Leo Robert Humes passed away on Feb. 11, 2013 in Clackamas, OR at the age of 84. He was born on July 7, 1928 in Minot, ND, where he lived until moving to Clark County, WA at the age of 14.

Leo worked as a longshoreman for the Port of Vancouver, and then worked as a warehouseman for NW Packing for approximately 25 years.

He married Maria Poncea on July 18, 1962. They were members of St. James Catholic Church, and he loved camping, hunting and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife, Maria, of Vancouver; three daughters, Leticia Enquist, Sandra Ortiz and Laura Lapinski, all of Vancouver, WA; three sons, Francisco Ortiz, Joel Ortiz and Antonio Ortiz Ponce, all of Vancouver, WA; two brothers, Leon and Les Humes of Vancouver; one sister, Betty Krause of Olympia, WA; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sat., Feb. 23, 2013 at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, 110 E. 12th St., Vancouver, WA.

Contributions can be sent to the American Cancer Society or to the Wells Fargo Bank downtown Vancouver Branch in Leo's name.

Arrangements are under the care of Vancouver Funeral Chapel.
