Carson Hudnut, Former Glove Factory Employee, Died Yesterday Morning
Carson C. Hudnut, 67, of Edina, died at 1 o'clock yesterday morning, Aug. 4, 1971, at the Prairie View Rest Home in Lewistown where he had been the last two years. He was an employee of the Burnham-Edina Manufacturing Co., until his health failed.
Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock tomorrow, Friday, afternoon at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel here with Rev. Paul E. Grimes of Edina officiating. Burial will be in the New Catholic Cemetery. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Robert Dale Hudnut and Harry Edward Hudnut, both of O'Fallon, and two daughters, Josephine Ann, Mrs. Glen Walton, of Mendon, Ill., and Miss Mary Jane Hudnut of Quincy, two step-sons, Raymond J. Lang of Galva, Ill., and Francis L. Lang of Watervliet, Mich., six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, two brothers, James C. Hudnut of Edina and Elmore Ray Hudnut of Quincy.
Mr. Hudnut was married Dec. 27, 1925, to Alice L. Dolan and to this union the four surviving children were born. He was later married, June 17, 1950, to Mrs. Geneva I. Lang, and they made their home in Edina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Harmon, Mrs. Carried Burk, Mrs. Mary Frances Denum, Mrs. Elsa Hart and one in infancy and four brothers, Charley, Virgil, Cleveland and Sylvester Hudnut.
