OBITUARY:
Emily Sarah daughter of Elisha and Matilda Adams was born on Christmas day Dec. 25, 1847 at the old Adams Homestead 7 miles North East of Versailles Ill. Passing away at the home of her son Henry E. Stuller Jan 3, 1927 at the age of 79 yrs & 9 days. The entire life of the deceased was spent within a mile of the old Adams Home.
On Feb 14 1877 she was united in marrage with Henry H. Stuller whos death occured Dec 19 1914. One son and one daughter both surviving were born to this union.
They are Henry E. Stuller of near Versailles and Mattie M. Keaster of Carrier Mills, Ill.
She also leaves one step daughter, Mrs Mary Kennedy of Jacksonville Ill and one step son Joseph B. Stuller of Hersman, Ill.
Nine grand children and four great grandchildren, The deceased was the 10th member of a family of 13 children of which only one and the youngest servive. Mrs Ellen Pruden of Versailles Ill. There togeather with numerois near relatives and friends are left to morn the loss of this GOOD WOMAN.
The deceased early in life accapted Christ as her personal savior uniting with the Union Baptist Church. She has lived a devoted and faithful Christian life. A long and industrous life was halted eight years ago when she became an invalid and almost helpless on the account of rheumatism which has caused untold pain and mesery for the past 18 years. During all these years of suffering the mind was bright, the heart cheerful, the disposition kind and a most wonderful patient. A long and useful life has ended on Earth only to be resumed in Heaven, where the best are forever at rest at home with the Lord.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Jan 5th at the Mt Zion Church by Rev. E. S. Borton. Two beautiful songs were sung by Mr.& Mrs. J.H. Means with Mrs. J.P. Kerr playing the accompanment. Interment was made in the Viney Henry Cemetery.
