ST. PETER - Funeral services for Esther Sampson, 90, of Franklin, formerly of St. Peter, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at St. Peter Funeral Home, Klein Chapel, in St. Peter. Burial will be 3 p.m. Friday in Union State Line Cemetery, rural Jackson, Minn.

Esther died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Golden Living Home in Franklin.
Esther Bertha Carrison was born March 14, 1922, in Estherville, Iowa to Percy and Theo (Grinde) Carrison. On Sept. 20, 1937, she was united in marriage to Marion Sampson. They lived several places in Minnesota and owned motels in both Dassel and Willmar. She was also a member of the Waverly Lutheran Church in rural Trimont. Esther enjoyed quilting, baking, making clothes, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and taking care of others.

Esther is survived by her children, Charles (Sandra), Edwin (Barbara), Bernard (Marcia), Barbara (Terry) Sirovy, Rolin (Linda), and Mark; 18 grandchildren: 37 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Sampson.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991; two brothers; a sister; and daughter-in-laws, Cindy and Ruby.
