74, Fort Scott, Kansas, formerly of Galena Kansas, died at 4:16 p.m. Wednesday at
St. John's Medical Center, Joplin, Mo., after a long illness. (Breast Cancer)
Peggy was born April 27, 1921, at Alva, Oklahoma. She lived in Fort Scott for 15 years. She was a seamstress at Miller Manfacturing, Joplin, for 30 years.
She married William Elmer Sturgis in November 1938 in Joplin. He died in November 1968.
She married Marion Hamilton in 1977 at Columbus Kansas. He died in 1984.
Survivors include three sons, Jay Sturgis, Joplin, Glenn Sturgis, Galena and Terry Sturgis, Baxter Springs; two sisters, June Sturgis and Avis Dickenson.
11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Gandy Cemetery.
