Elvin Luther Chance, age 69, of London, KY, died Thurs. Feb.2, 2012, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born on Jan. 23, 1943, in Long Beach, CA, he was the son of the late Burl Erasmes Chance and Mary Margaret Colby Chance. Survivors include his wife, Alice Towe Chance of London, KY, four children, Melinda Anne Fitz-Henry of Silverton, OR, Kevin Marion Chance of Margate, FL, Brenda Aileen Farmer of NC, and Gregory Wayne Chance of London, KY, two sisters, Patsy Pauline Thompson of El Mirage, AZ and Geraldine Margaret Anderson of Everett, WA, one brother, Billy Ray Chance of North Port, WA, seventeen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lou Burnside and two brothers, Burl Joseph Chance and Cecil Glen Chance.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of First Deliverance Church in Williamsburg, KY.
