She was born in Columbus Grove and was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph, in 1944, and Albert, in 1945. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Assn.
Surviving are two brothers, Thomas Downey, 639 S. Elizabeth St., and John J., Deshler, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body will remain in the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, 879 W. Market St., pending completion of arrangements.

ALTENBACH, Mrs. Catherine - The body will remain in the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, 879 W. Market St., until Requiem High Mass at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Albert A. Fate will be celebrant and burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. A son, Joseph, died in 1944, and her husband, Albert, died in 1945.
