Mrs. Downey had been a resident of Lima for 60 years. She was born in Ireland. Two daughters and two sons survive. They are Mrs. Sullivan, at whose home she died, Mrs. Catherine Altenbach, Lima; Thomas Downey, of Lima, and John Downey, of Napoleon. An aunt, Mrs. Julia McAuliffe, of Lima, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Downey was a member of the Altar society of St. John's church.
The body has been removed to the O'Connell and Doolin funeral home and will be taken to the Sullivan home late Tuesday. Funeral services have not been arranged.
