Bernice B. Woodruff of Davison, age 92, died Monday, November 27, 1995 at Riverbed Nursing Center. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 1995 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. William W. Noblitt officiating. Interment 2 p.m. Friday, December 1, 1995 in Hanover Cemetery, Morristown, Indiana. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Woodruff was born in Gwynneville, Indiana on March 24, 1903 and was a resident of Davison for 27 years, including 18 years at Glastonbury Manor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Davison and was an avid card and bingo player. She was employed by Underhill Drugs for 15 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Barbara and husband Gerald L. Venable of Davison; 3 grandchildren, Vicki and husband Bob Bell of Metamora, Teri Mason of Davison and Michael Venable of Florida; 3 great-grandchildren, Thomas McHale, Bobby Bell and Holli Bell; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Woodruff, in 1953 and son, Jack Woodruff, in 1923.
